PODCASTS

After the last time I moved, I no longer could walk to work and had to drive. I started listening to podcasts during my commute. I’ve gone through a number of podcasts over the years and review new ones regularly. They seem to come and go either with my interest or their ability to continue to produce episodes. Here are the ones I currently listen to relevant to this website and have good body of work.

We Have a Technical

Bruce and Alex have a music website called I Die:You Die, named after the Gary Neuman song. They started a podcast named after another such song. Both deal with goth, industrial, darkwave, and other forms of music or just bands that might be tangentially connected to what they call “our thing”.

Gothic Moose

I added this podcast as it has Gothic in the title. Music is not strictly, or even mostly gothic, but they area Canadian to follow up on the moose part of the name. It does tend to be mostly electronic and other music you might expect to hear coming from a DJ with such a name. Although there are occasional diversions into Eurovision or Canadian favorites. They do try and only play music from bands or labels which have said they support Ukraine.

Cemetery Confessions

America’s number 1 goth talk podcast. As far as I can tell they are America’s only goth talk podcast, but their claim is still strong. They have been going on for years now and continue with in-depth monthly conversations on various topics.

Communion After Dark

Music podcast with DJs from Florida playing a selection of new goth, industrial, darkwave, synthpop, etc. every week.

Talking to Ghosts

An old podcast by some guys in Portland, however, they have a large number of episodes in their run and many are with people or on topics that will probably interest anybody reading this.
